In Through The Heart

I sail with you on the ocean of my dreams

to a far away distant place of great beauty and tranquility.

where suffering and pain do not exist,

where we give praises for our joy and happiness,

where our Love interwines with Love for all things.

Rumi

The quality of sentimental observation grafts a poet. Narrative instinct creates a writer. Strong commitment raises a leader amongst us. Ultimate devotion buds a saint. Absolute meditation leads to nirvana. Utmost reverence soars a believer to the herms of heavens. Deep philosophical quests introduce systems like communism and capitalism. Zealous science seekers unearth Newtonian laws. Determined sailors discover new continents.

The will to go to the stars, thrusts Neil Armstrong to walk on the moon making him the first man to land there. Consistent missionary nun becomes Mother Teresa. The ascetic philanthropist gets pronounced to be Abdul Star Edhi. (Edhi Trust). Grand humanitarian social development entrepreneurship iconifies one to be Dr. Amjad Saqib. (Akhuwat).

The work of these idealists is larger than life. They change the course of history and write new chapters in human heights. They see beyond themselves. They sacrifice personal gains and prefer to give than to take.

Such remarkable superhumans, at times, faced persecution at the hands of the very society they intended to deliver good. Aristotle had to take poison for revealing the truth. Galileo was placed under house arrest for the rest of his life just for advocating the idea of a heliocentric model. Mohammad ibn Zakaria Razi, a great medical master of his times, who wrote a book that changed the concept of treatment. He was beaten over his head with his own manuscript. Consequently, Razi was blinded and the world was deprived of knowledge of immense importance. Human fervor for norms and taboos is known to cause damage to their advances time and again.

Our education, schooling, and training teach us to attain more and more. The standard of success in our society is relevant to accumulation. Sometimes I wonder what this world would look like if we were raised to give than to take. What humanity could have achieved through such an upbringing? The great ideas elevate us to selfless living and produce songs on unity and love. We normally disregard such noble ideas as utopian philosophy.

Creativity is the essence of sapiens. We have reached where we are today through our ability to perceive and process. We have come far and we have universes to go. Our progress is undoubtedly phenomenal but it’s prime has yet to come.

Good ideas will take you places.

Sometimes I just like to think,

And capture my ideas in ink.

When the pen begins to flow,

I leave my thoughts and let them go.

It’s when the mind starts to run free,

That we really do begin to see.

Our eyes are somehow opened wide,

And we are given a peek inside.

We see the place where ideas grow,

The one’s with passion we must sow.

Big ideas can give us power,

They bloom and grow just like a flower.

Tricky problems simply pop,

As great ideas take you to the top.

Don’t keep them locked up in dark spaces,

Good ideas will take you places.
